Features

The iXflash Cube makes backing up your most important data easier than ever. Simply plug it in between your charger and iPhone or iPad — the free app takes care of the rest in the background. No cloud, no subscription, no risk.

True-to-Original Storage

All files are saved in their original format, including Live Photos, burst shots, timestamps, location data, and filenames. This ensures your memories can be restored 1:1 later.

Plug & Play – Easy Setup

No installation or technical knowledge required: simply plug in the iXflash Cube, launch the app, and start backing up. Works with Lightning cables, USB-A, or USB-C depending on the model.

Automatic Backup

Once your iPhone or iPad is connected to the charger, the app automatically initiates an incremental backup of photos, videos, and contacts — including iCloud content. No action needed.

Privacy Without Cloud

All data is stored locally only. You can optionally protect access via your Apple ID (Face ID, Touch ID, password) for maximum security, even when connected to a Mac or PC.

App Control

The free iXflash Cube app (iOS & Android (USB-C)) gives you full control: choose manual or automatic backups, enable Windows compatibility mode, or manage multiple devices easily. Once set up, everything runs smoothly in the background without interruptions.

Multiple Devices – No Mess

The iXflash Cube automatically recognises different devices and creates separate folders. This keeps everything organised — ideal for families or users with multiple iPhones/iPads.

FAQ

What should I do if the iXflash app does not open or backup is not possible?

Make sure the iXflash Cube app is installed from the App Store. Search for “iXflash” in the Apple App Store, download and open the app. Afterwards, the connection to the iXflash Cube should be detected automatically and backup should work without issues.

Why can’t I use an external memory card in the iXflash Cube?

External memory cards vary greatly in quality and reliability. To avoid data loss, the iXflash Cube uses high-quality integrated storage that has been thoroughly tested. This keeps your backup safe and stable — with no risk from low-quality microSD cards.

What does “Charge & Backup” mean?

The iXflash Cube simply connects between your charger and iPhone/iPad. While charging, it automatically backs up photos, videos, and contacts — no manual action needed. After initial setup, backups start automatically with each charge.

Why do backup files on the iXflash Cube appear smaller than on a PC?

Apple stores photos and videos in the compressed HEIC format. When transferred directly to a Windows PC, these files are converted into larger JPG or MOV files. The iXflash Cube stores the original files, so they appear smaller but remain true to the original. Tip: On your iPhone, under Photos → Transfer to Mac or PC, select Keep Originals to transfer HEIC files directly.

Why can some backup photos and videos not be opened on Windows?

iPhones save photos in HEIC format and videos often in H.265/HEVC format — these are not natively supported on Windows. In the iXflash app, you can set photos to be converted to JPG during backup. For videos, use a compatible player like VLC or KMPlayer to play HEVC files without problems.
